Thea Dwelle – Scholarship Chair / Ambassador
Thea is a software professional by day, and a wine blogger and wine lover by night. She is actively involved in the blogging community, as well as several wine trade associations and events. She strives to continue learning about wine, wine regions and the industry by creating dialog with as many industry professionals and consumers as possible via her blog and twitter. In addition to her blog, running the Scholarship, and her day job, Thea speaks at wine related events, freelances for trade journals, and is also busy consulting on technology and CRM solutions for wineries. Kellie Saarsgard – Committee Member
Kellie is an avid wine drinker who looks for wines that can be enjoyed every day at affordable prices; in additional, she enjoys presenting wines in a non intimidating way. A 2012 Scholarship Recipiant, she writes the Wine Chicks Guide to Everyday Wines weaves a story about life and wine experiences, from her home base in the Georgia mountains. Kellie loves how wine is for sharing, and she enjoys sharing what she’s learned with her readers.
James Melendez - Committe Member
James love wines! He believes that in wine there is something for everyone, and for everyone there is a wine to fit one’s palette, and that wine is for the masses, not just a select few. With experience that exlcudes working for World Market, James is a repeat attender to the Wine Bloggers Conference and loves the complexity of wine, and learning about it.
Monica Mohler – Committee Member
Monica has a marketing and event planning background, and has a passion for social media, marketing, and public relations. She is always seeking to try new wines, and is an avid world traveler. This will e her 2nd WBC, and is looking forward to trying a new wine region in BC!
